You’ve Been Brushing Your Hair WRONG All This Time
The Hair Hack That Will Save You From Frizz, Breakage & Bad Hair Days
⸻
Have you ever brushed your hair… and ended up with more hair in your brush than on your head? You’re not alone.
Most of us were never taught the right way to brush our hair — and it shows in our split ends, breakage, and daily frizz battles.
But don’t worry. In my latest YouTube Short, I show you how to fix this in just 20 seconds with a simple step-by-step technique that anyone can do. (Seriously — once you try this, you’ll never go back.)
⸻
The Common Mistake: Brushing From the Roots
Most people start brushing their hair right from the roots, yanking through knots and tangles. This actually causes more damage than you think:
• Breaks fragile strands
• Rips through tangles
• Increases frizz and static
• Leads to thinning ends over time
⸻
The Right Way to Brush Your Hair
Here’s the method I share in the Short (and YES — it works on straight, wavy, and curly hair):
Step 1: Mist Lightly With Water or Detangler
Dry brushing can cause unnecessary friction. A quick spritz softens the hair just enough to ease out tangles.
Step 2: Add a Leave-In Conditioner
This gives your strands extra slip and protection, especially if your ends are dry or prone to splitting.
Step 3: Start from the BOTTOM
Hold a section of your hair and gently brush from the ends upward — working in small sections until you reach the roots.
Pro Tip: Use a wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush designed for your hair type.

Before vs. After: The Results Speak for Themselves
With this technique, you’ll notice:
• Less hair fall in your brush
• Smooth, shinier hair
• Reduced frizz
• Easier styling (especially if you use heat tools after)
