New Collection: NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC x BERSHKA
Better made and inspired by the great outdoors, the latest garms from Join Life go large on nature photos and more sustainable materials, brought to you by Bershka and National Geographic.
Bershka has joined forces with National Geographic to create a new collection crafted from more sustainable materials and inspired by natural wonders.
Featuring stunning nature photography from National Geographic, all styles in the collection also carry Bershka’s sustainability label, Join Life, as they have been created from recycled polyester or ecologically grown cotton.
Pieces for guys and girls include puffa jackets, hoodies, crew neck sweaters and t-shirts, as well as cross body bags, all featuring breathtaking glacial landscapes and intimate wildlife photography, including an artic wolf and a red panda.
Puffa jackets are made using 100% recycled polyester padding, tees are 100% ecologically grown cotton and hoodies are at least 65% ecologically grown cotton. The bum-bag and backpack include at least 25% and 50% recycled polyester respectively.
The collection is designed to provide a more sustainable choice for outdoor apparel while also reminding us of the beauty of our precious natural world. You can find it at bershka.com and selected stores from November 5th.
Bershka JOIN LIFE
Sustainability underpins all our business decisions, as does the respect and promotion of Human Rights, transparency and ongoing dialogue with our stakeholders. We’ve taken one step further towards the manufacturing of safe and sustainable fashion with Join Life, an environmental labelling standard characterised by seeking excellent environmental attributes.
By applying the Join Life standard, products are manufactured using sustainable raw materials and/or with the best technologies in at least one manufacturing process. Under the label Join Life, we categorise all garments that have been produced using the best processes and the most sustainable raw materials so that they can be identified more easily. All Join Life products must meet at least one of these environmental attributes:
Care for fiber: All the products made using more sustainable raw materials such as organic cotton, TENCEL® lyocell or recycled fibres.
Care for Water: Products manufactured with technology that reduces water consumption in at least one manufacturing process.
Care for Planet: Products manufactured using renewable energy in at least one manufacturing process, with materials that reduce the emission of hazardous chemicals such as water-based polyurethane, or with leather tanned in tanneries rated Gold by the Leather Working Group protocol.
The Join Life standard also includes initiatives such as the Take Back Programme, our policy for more sustainable packaging, the building of eco-efficient stores, and the support of the community
