Let’s Eat Grandma take first bite of Bershka’s new concert series

UK pop duo, Let’s Eat Grandma, will kick off the Bershka On Stage series in London next month.

On Stage will see the next big names in music play live in Bershka flagship stores across the world. Set to be some of the coolest gigs of the year, these intimate concerts will give music fans exclusive access to six artists from six countries, destined to rule the stage in 2019.

Bershka is offering fans the chance to score free tickets to the gigs at its stores in London, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, Frankfurt and Brussels. To get on the guest list, fans can enter an online competition for a double pass to an intimate two-hour gig, featuring the headline act and DJ set.

Let’s Eat Grandma (LEG) are Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth, two amazing young creative women who share a twin-like friendship (and appearance). They were just 17 when they released their debut album, I Gemini, which landed them sold-out shows and critical acclaim.

Two years on, LEG are about to tour their second album, I’m All Ears, with production from David Wrench (The xx, Frank Ocean, Caribou), Sophie (Charli XCX, Madonna) and Faris Badwan (HMLTD, The Horrors). And thanks to Bershka On Stage, music fans have the chance to catch them live at Bershka’s London Oxford Street store before they boss Europe’s summer festivals.

For those hoping to get their hands on some band merchandise, Bershka and LEG have co-designed a tote bag and t-shirt, based on the band’s personal style. The tie-dye t-shirt is born to be worn with destroyed denim and sportswear, and the tote bag features the line, “We Got This” from one of LEG’s latest songs, Falling Into Me.

The band say they chose the line because it’s about self- confidence, with an empowering vibe that anyone can own, whatever their gender.

Bershka will also co-design a capsule collection with two other artists from its On Stage line-up, due for release in May and September.

Beyond the gigs, Bershka will uncover the personalities of the selected artists on and off stage. Its dedicated On Stage website – onstage.bershka.com – will feature Q&As revealing the experiences that have made these trailblazing musicians who they are today. The website will also host photos and videos of the in-store events, capturing everything from sound check to the after-show elation, and of course, the fans’ reactions.

Bershka On Stage celebrates the crossover between style and music. It’s a shout-out to self-expression and it gives music fans the chance to see the next big names in music before the rest of the world.
