Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel Creative Director, Passes Away in Paris
Karl Lagerfeld one of the most talented fashion designer and iconic figures died today at the age of 85 in Paris. He is definetelly one of the most important fashion figures of the 20th and 21st centuries. Over the last 36 years, Karl Lagerfeld was the Creative Director of Chanel (1983 - 2019). Karl Lagerfeld was German and he started his professional career as Pierre Balmain's assistant back in 1955. Karl Lagerfeld used to get dressed in a black or grey suit matched with a white shirt, having his grey hair pulled back in a ponytail completing his look with black gloves and black sunglasses. This look was his signature around the globe. Karl Lagerfeld didn’t attend Chanel’s show at Paris Haute Couture Fahion Week on January, this might have been a sign that he had some health issues.
