H&M Group to supply protective equipment for hospitals
To help tackle the widespread effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, H&M Group is now quickly arranging for its supply chain to produce personal protective equipment to be provided to hospitals and health care workers.
H&M Group will utilize its supply chain capacity, including its widespread purchasing operations and logistics capabilities, in order to start delivering as soon as possible. The company’s supply chain teams around the world are now collectively supporting in these initial efforts to support countries and communities worldwide.
After CEO Helena Helmersson reached out to the EU to understand the needs and to offer the company’s help, H&M Group immediately started to prepare production of personal protective equipment for healthcare providers.
