Our everyday life under Coronavirus Lockdown
During these challenging times due to Covid-19 our everyday life has change substantially. Most of us, we have to stay at home minimizing our outdoor activities to buying the groceries, visiting a pharmacy or taking our pets out. Based on local circumstances, some of us are on strict lockdown though some others are allowed to have minimum outdoor actiivities. At the moment, the message all around the world is “Social Distancing” trying to slow down the spread of Covid-19.
Life should go on though our everyday life has been affected tremendously. However, we can still find a new way to everyday life during the “Stay at Home“ period of time. We can stay active and we can stay positive for the better days to come making our part of the story.
Whatever the case might be either you keep working remotely or you do not work anymore, you need to create a new everyday life. The key into succeding into this new reality is to schedule your day and to stick to this schedule at all times. It might seem easy and straightforward but you should take into account that there are discrepancies at home especially for those that are not used to it.
I would suggest to plan ahead for everyday without overdoing it. Make everyday different in the case that you do not have to work remotelly during a specific set schedule, so as to have a creative routine. However, it is important to have a full plan for each day so as to be active and happy while you have been self isolated at home.
As soon as you wake up, get dressed before taking your breakfast. It is important to act as you were about to go out. A more casual and comfy outfit may well suit the situation.
Plan your day ahead so as to make any necessary adjustments to your schedule given that you have to stick to it in order to remain active.
Should the case be that you will be working remotely, you have to create your home office if you do not already have one. Choose your favourite corner that is inspiring and practical at the same time so as to make it work as your home office.
This might be the opportunity for some houseworks that you didn’t had enough time before. So you may either do some detailed houseworks or you may redecorate your house.
Set up your daily or day after day time for home exercing. You may either exercise alone or you may watch at YouTube your favourite personal trainer following a specific workout. My favourite e-personal trainer is Lucy Wyndham-Read.
Keep close contact with your friends and your loved ones via social media and using video calls. You may well share with them your daily experience though you are not in physical contact with them.
Take the opportunity to pursue an online course, to study a foreign language and/or to read some books.
This is the time to practice your hobby as long as you may practice it indoors.
Take some time for your daily beauty session, taking care of your skin, face, hair, body, nails or makeup. You can still take care of yourself while on lockdown. Should you do not have the necessary know how, check online or watch some DYI online videos. Am sure you will enjoy the beauty sessions and you will learn new skills.
Take advantage of your time at home for setting up a healthy and balanced nutrition. Cooking can be creative, stress free activity and beneficial to your health and body at the same time.
Set up the daily entertainment time that might be listening to music or watching a film or tv serie. Compensate yourself for all the hardworking and for contributing to the community by staying at home.
Plan your next vacation after the end of these challenging times. Planning your dream destination will help you travel mentally having as a result feeling happy, having hope and strong believe that everything will go well. After all planning your holidays, is a time consuming process so now is the time to plan the best holidays of your life.
Take the opportunity to slow down, to take some time off so as to rebuild your life.
Stay Safe, Stay Strong, Stay Focus, Stay Positive!
